When it comes to building an architecturally impressive building in Jakarta, there are a lot of challenges to overcome. The dense population and lack of ventilated spaces are just a couple of the issues that need to be addressed. This resulted in a site allocated for a boarding house to be rather unusual. But perhaps the biggest challenge that a design has to over come is the intense heat and rain that Jakarta experiences throughout the year.

To create a building that responds to these difficulties, the design would need to incorporate features such as natural ventilation, shading, and rainwater harvesting. Additionally, the building would need to be constructed using materials that can withstand the extreme weather conditions. By taking these factors into consideration, it is possible to create a building that not only looks impressive but also functions well in the context of the urban Jakarta unique environment.
