TEDxYouth@PSHSMain

TEDxYouth@PSHSMain was an eye-opening event during my stay in Pisay. Having an educational talk in our school is unique and undone before in other schools, so to be a part of the TEDx Creatives Committee was truly an experience.

The theme of the event was Infinitesimal, emphasizing how little things could result in big ideas.

During early preparations for TEDxYouth@PSHSMain, the creatives committee only composed of three people including myself. This pubmat was made to call for other members to join the TEDx Committee.

Official TEDx Shirt Mock

Rese Ureta made the fantastic final shirt design! I was then tasked with making the mock included in promotional materials to sell the shirt.

Profile Picture Photoshoot!

The TEDx photoshoot was simple in concept, mainly due to us using a Profile Picture overlay for all of our photos. So for an event like TEDx, everything had to be simple. A classic white top on a natural Pisay background encompasses the simple seminar event that our school will be hosting.

TEDxYouth@PSHSMain had a simple concept on the profile picture. To emphasize the TEDx Red color scheme. Therefore, Each of our images were edited to have a red background.

This photoshoot was a deviate from my regular photoshoots as it uses a border to show that it's a part of TEDx.

Event Recording and the Final Videos of TEDxYouth@PSHSMain

Recording each segment of the speakers in TEDx was a challenging task. For one, I was the only person on the committee who held a camera, so I had the difficult task of procuring old gear to add in multiple angles as per the recommendation of the TEDx website. In total, I used 4 separate cameras throughout the event, a 5D Mark III with a 150-600 lens stationed at the right corner, a 7D with a 24-105 lens on the left corner, an SX50HS on one side, and a tiny G9X to capture an onstage perspective.

Despite event recording not being my forte, this experience has brought in a new unique experience that I haven't done before. I highly encourage having multiple photography people participate in events like these to get a background on what it's like to record for a huge event.

TEDxYouth@PSHSMain Intro was designed and animated by friend and fellow committee member Rese Ureta!
